In operation since late August 2001, the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry is a non-denominational, non-sectarian food bank that supplies food to those in need in an area, and the pantry is staffed completely by volunteers. |
Back To School Book Bag ProjectThroughout the spring and summer, The Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry collect items for the pantry children (grades 1-8) for their book bags. There are specific items that we look to collect every year in order to ensure that every child has all the necessary items they need to have a successful school year. The items that are included in the book bags depending on the grade of the student are as follows:
The pantry begins to collect this items starting in the summer and accepts donations thru August. Donations of both supplies and money are welcomed; any cash received will be used to purchase the book bags and supplies that are not donated.
